QC Animal Welfare Center will participate in the Betty White Challenge

MILAN, Ill. (KWQC) – The Quad City Animal Welfare Center is joining animal shelters nationwide in participating in the #BettyWhite Challenge in honor of Betty White. The challenge is a celebration of his life and honors his dedication to animal welfare. White once said, “Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I have dedicated my life to trying to improve their lives.”

On Monday, January 17, the QCA Welfare Center is hosting a fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Donations can also be made on the QCAWC Facebook page Where website.

Several local businesses will also raise funds for local humanitarian societies. All Hy-vee stores in the Quad Cities are holding a pet supply drive, which will end on Monday, January 17. All donations from Iowa QC stores will go to the Humane Society of Scott County, while donations from Illinois QC stores will go to the QC Animal Welfare Center.

QC custom t-shirts and more will donate $5 for every “Betty & the Pets” t-shirt sold to local humane societies. The shirts will be available for purchase online from Monday, January 17 through Sunday, January 23. As well Map My Yard Quad Cities will donate to QCAWC for every greeting placed in the yard from Saturday January 15th to Monday January 17th.
