LEONA MISSING UPDATE: Police ‘increasingly concerned’ over welfare of 12-year-old Leona Peach of Newton Abbot


POLICE are increasingly concerned for the well-being of 12-year-old Leona Peach, who has been reported missing in the Newton Abbot area, and are asking her to make contact.

Leona, who was last seen in the Hele Park area in Newton Abbot around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, December 20. Originally from the North Devon region, officers believe she may have traveled to Bideford.

They also asked Leona to contact her family at Newton Abbot.

Detective Inspector Dave Pebworth said: “Investigations continue in our efforts to locate Leona and we are asking members of the public to assist us.

“We support her friends and family and call on Leona to contact the house so they know she is safe and healthy.

“This time of year is especially important for families and we want to make sure she is well and ask anyone accompanying her to encourage Leona to contact her family at Newton Abbot.

“Leona, if you are reading this we want you to know that you have no problem, please contact us, or someone you trust, to let us know you are safe.”

She is described as white and of thin to medium build. She is around 4 feet 9 inches tall, has hazel eyes and long, light brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. She has a bald spot above her right ear.

Leona is believed to be wearing gray / blue leggings or skinny pants with a dark colored fur coat and flip flops. She was carrying a pink bag.
