Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday urged ministers and authorities to ensure the achievement of one hundred percent in social welfare programs, officials said.
The CM was addressing ministers and officers in Mantralaya as part of the council of chief ministers meeting held in Delhi.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, all additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries were present.
CM said, “Madhya Pradesh holds a leading position in various programs and projects implemented in the country for development and public welfare. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the achievements of Madhya Pradesh in Pradhan Mantri Awas, Matri Vandana and Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor Yojna. He also commended the initiative taken for Gaurav Diwas (Pride Day) of towns and villages in the state and the publication of medical books in Hindi language by the state government.
Chouhan said, “Prime Minister Modi said these books developed in Hindi should also be sent to other states.”
CM said Prime Minister Modi’s birthday would be celebrated as Seva Pakhwada (fortnight’s service) from September 17 to October 2. All departments should prepare a necessary action plan for this purpose.
He said the Prime Minister’s intention was to ensure that every eligible person received timely benefits under programs and schemes run for public welfare.
“Our goal is to record one hundred percent achievement in development and public welfare programs. For this, the implementation of the plans must be ensured by setting daily objectives. Achievement of plan targets should be reviewed on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis. Principal secretaries of all departments, in coordination with the minister, should develop an action plan and carry out activities,” he added.
